Very friendly service and a very tasty tomato soup.

My favorite restaurant. Great, delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. All dishes look appealing, but 95% always choose Spaghetti Piri Piri. If you are a fan of shrimp & parmesan cheese and are not averse to light to medium heat, then definitely order. You get a really generous portion size and there are so many shrimp in it that you can't even count them. The hot drinks are also recommended. Tea is drunk in style here. The coffee specialties are also super tasty and always worth a sin.

Super unfriendly staff, disorganized. We only ordered drinking, there was a lot of dirt in the bottle of water and glass. The beer only tasted like acidified beer. Not again.

We come here often and gladly. The food is great. We particularly liked the soups, the wraps and the chili con carne. Great atmosphere and nice service.

First the positive: the food is very, very tasty, so far there is nothing to complain about. I have been particularly fond of tomato soup for years, even if I am not there too often. The location in Kalkar itself is great, you can sit inside and outside quite nicely. Unfortunately it has always been the case that the friendliness of the service staff fluctuates greatly. Even the owner herself does not overturn with friendliness. I find this a shame because everything is actually right in the mango. Last week, however, a waitress gave me a very unfriendly complaint that I shouldn't sit down at a non-disinfected table. I immediately got up and apologized to her. Not another word from her. She cleaned the table, meanwhile placed an older couple at another (empty) table and disinfected him as the couple were sitting. We found this strange. We were also allowed to sit down. The food was, as I said, very tasty, really is not the problem here. The service was ok and friendlier than the reception. Later a group of 4 people changed from a bar table to a normal table with empty dishes and not disinfected. Here, too, she said something, but far friendlier, the guests were allowed to sit, disinfected him and joked with the guests. The different way of treating the guests is absolutely not ok. She probably thought we were tourists and in her eyes were not worth the effort. Nevertheless, I recommend the mango, because you are lucky with the service from time to time.

There were three of us in the mangoes yesterday - but we didn't want to sit in the bistro but in the restaurant. That was empty except for a table of four. We order drinks - however only 2 people wanted to eat - the third (our son) did not. Then the waitress explained to us that this was not possible - we would have to sit in the bistro ... even if we asked the owner, the opinion was kept. On a Monday - restaurant almost empty - an insolence - you don't seem to have to ... In addition, there was only one waitress - for restaurant and bistro - so that dishes used in the restaurant remained on the counter. There was also a dog on a blanket in the restaurant - I found it all very strange ... We paid for our drinks and went to another restaurant - we will no longer enter this restaurant ... The waitress was well - you would say 'tried' ... she said smiling she was sorry that you had to go hungry now ...

Food was very tasty and looked very good, unfortunately I didn't take a photo because I was looking forward to the food too much: D The service was friendly and the preparation was very quick. The place was very cozy, so you could sit for several hours: D I will definitely come again!

A nice restaurant located directly on the market square. The service was very friendly and the food was excellent. We have even been made aware of this restaurant by a recommendation and can only recommend the restaurant Mango. Everything was great. Price and performance is also right! We will be back.
